Hi Val,

Straight on pics are much better that what you posted, and that is why you aren't getting any responses. I suggest taking some better closeups and repost.

The badge itself has potential, but the reverse hardware looks weird (in particular the catch, definitely not an original wartime catch but its possible that its a replacement and the badge itself is original).

Is there any concaveness of the badge? The total assembly to the badge has correct matching vertigis of metals reactivity. I can't say one way or the other, late war, gi souvenir? There are a lot of gabs out there, are you buying to plug a hole in the collection or just for the want of a gab?
