The badge itself looks original, and as Heydrich says, its a still unknown maker (Unknown Maker #8).
The maker mark is interesting, not one we have seen before. Looks to be marked "15", is that correct? If its a PKZ number, it would be for Friedrich Orth, but that really doesn't make sense because we know of FO-marked GAB of a complete different design so I doubt this one could also be Orth-made.
What also makes it suspect is this exact type of GAB has been found with other maker marks (L56, L/12, etc.). That also makes it very suspect, seems to me that a batch of these were found at the end of the war and a bunch of spurious maker marks were applied to try and increase their value.
So for me its an original badge with a suspect maker mark. Catch also could be repaired as Heydrich pointed out.
I'm going to put it in a display case, so I'm not concerned so much about the pin and maker's mark. As long as it is original and displays well that's all that matter to me.
