            Thanks Tom
I tough my experience on german badges was not so good despite years of collecting, there are many of these there around on sale like originals, now I feel better, I simply undervalued the power of hypnosis; a fake offered like original many times can become original, if you use the mind power on the buyer
I noticed the original WH Army Flak is missing in the Garlasco's book, but it exists, with different hardware and other details from this one, it also misses here in the database

The badge isn't in Marc's book because at that time he was not sure whether originals exist for sure or not. If You do a search for "W.H. Wien"-Flaks here You will find his thread where he states that there are originals (like the one posted by Tom of the ones in the thread from my own collection).

                Best, Peter

I remember just before Marc's book was published, new information was just being discovered, and some information discovered right after publishing, regarding flak badges.
So, though not a complete reference today, still thorough and the only one out there.
I like to think of the author as a pioneer that started the trend for specialized reference on specific badge types.

Indeed a copy! One of those fakes that actually look better than the real deal sometimes
                      Kind regards,
                      Giel

I can only agree, common fake.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Sure, I always keep his book at disposal close to my laptop on the library, I'm skerred the library could feel unuseful and fall at ground without worthy books about badges on it...a different question could be why e-books on this thema are not published, so an upgrade with additions could be possible after publishing like a work in progress.
Maybe if any little detail about these collectables would be certainly certified, the collection would be less interesting...
