    Hello,

Whats your opinion on this badge?
Maker? Does it go with the box? Zinc im guessing? Late war?

    Thanks!

    Regards
    Lewis

It's a late war zink Steinhauer & Lück in original box. Whether the box actually belonged to the badge is hard to tell.
                  Kind regards,
                  Giel

                    Hi Lewis,

A fine original later-war S&L for me as well.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

As a beginner I didn't want to offer an opinion...but based on Weber's book I assessed it as an S&L as well. I was wondering if the pin and catch had been replaced. This is how I'm trying to learn - look at posts like this then hitting the reference material.

                        Thanks Giel!
So did S&L make its early war IAB in tombac?
Anyway to find out if the box goes with the badge?

Pin and catch are not replaced. You can find this type of IAB with different setups. The marks are for the "standart setup".
