Thanks for the closeoups of the eagle, it confirms for me its an FLL.

Its not zink, its a brass example IMO. You can see in several worn areas the yellow/gold base metal under the silver finish.

Its possible that its a zink with brass coating. But either way, a very nice early FLL in nicely worn condition with some excellent patina.

I think exactly like Tom. IMO it's brass badge too , when I hold it in hand it's clearly visible the yellow areas...

Yes but the yellow areas you can see is only a brass coat.The base material is Zink

The lack of any oxidation bubbling suggests this is a brass badge, not zink IMO.

I've tested it on my own badge years ago. I can not post pictures to show it unfortunately...
