    Infanterie Sturmabzeichen full set.

    Good evening everyone!
Would like to show You cased Infanterie Sturmabzeichen with award document and "division badge".
It was awarded to Army Oberleutnant Erhard Greif, 3 Company Feld Ersatz Bataillon 121 (121 Infanterie Division), awarded on 30 May 1944, and signed by the commander of Feld Ers. Batl. 121, Major Henning Eppendorff. Eppendorff was a German Cross in Gold recipient, 2 October 1943.
Oberleutnant Greif is listed in the German Graves Office as having been killed 20 February 1945, Kurland. The 121 I.D. operated in the northern sector of the East Front from June 1941 to October 1944, later 121 I.D. were engaged in the Kurland Pocket.
The division badge is in very nice, hard to find condition.
The main question is about the case..It looks period, but not the usual type of ISA cases and is marked Ferdinand Hoffstätter, Bonn a. Rhein. I dont think this manufacturer produced ISA!? Or maybe this case is from another award? If yes, than which award?

    Thanks a lot,gentleman.

    Nice set!!

The box is probably just one that Grandma grabbed to store the IAB in.

Hi Peter, nice little grouping. Hoffstatter is believed to have made the isa, but not this type, rather its an unmarked B&NL imo.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

I agree with Tom, this is known as a Berg & Nolte produced badge.

Tom and Kray, thanks a lot gentleman.
I would like to find out some information about that etui/case.. Is it from ISA or from what is it!?!? It's not the typical ISA etui, but looks quite similar,I wouldn't be surprised if it realy belonged to Infanterie Sturmabzeichen. I actually haven't seen many of those etui's..

                Hi,Eugeniu.
I got it in a flee market in Münster,Germany.
You are the first one who says it's fake..... I've shown it to some people who have found many of them ( ground dug ) for comparision.
Why do you think it's fake???

                  Hi Peter!
I do not think, I'm 100% sure this badge is a fake))
                  Fake, good quality
Then what, I first tell you about it, you can draw conclusions about the fact that no one in this does not understand
But believe me and my experience
A lot of these badges passed through me and I know what I'm saying
I do not want to disclose the secrets because the people who make these badges can take them into account
For all time I saw only 5 original badges two of them I have to the collection (I'm talking about not found badges in the ground )

There are no officially cases for the IAB, only paperbags.
This cases, so i think, you get, when you buy an IAB. So there are a lot of variants, and nobody can you say if this was one or not, only you can find it with unaffeced lots.

But for me it looks good and i think its period, and why not for an IAB.

                      Yes,luggas,I totally agree with You.
You can find couple of ISA case variations in Sascha's Weber's book "The Infantry Assault Badges".

A very nice and 100% original B&NL IAB. Very easy to make the connection with luftwaffe awards by the set up and finish types. Nice piece.

For sure an interesting box by a period manufacturer. Good to have it in mind
                            Kind regards,
