    GAB fake

    I've just been told this GAB is a fake. Any help would be appreciated.

    Well it looks like an original to me.

    Do a search on "deep pan" on the forum to compare with others.

    I have to pop out so can't take a longer look at it until later.

                        Lovely deep pan indeed. For sure one of stranger looking designs out there, making it look fake.

                        Interesting to see how that small catch plate on yours is soldered on the edge of the wreath, even from the obverse it is visible. Don't think this catch would have survived a war if it were in battle
