    PAB Gold

    Hi all,
would like to hear some opinions about this PAB in Gold. I know it´s most likely a very bright bronze finish but it looks really very golden. Am i right this is a Steinhauer & Lück 1.4.7 Type ?
    Thanks in advance
    Alex

WTF?! Alex that's awesome- indeed an original rarer type of S&L PAB with wide pin set up and indeed appears to be a genuine gold finish. The bronze finished used by S&L is much darker than this. It compares favourably to the finish I have seen on gold CCC's by S&L.

            Hi Alex,

I too like the look of the gold finish, matches very well to S&L CCCs as Patrick says.

The PAB itself also looks wartime compatible IMO, with correct "wartime" dimple on the top of the pin near the hinge.

The real question here is why would there be gold finish on a PAB? Certainly not something that would have been done wartime IMO, but probably more so postwar for the souvenier trade using leftover wartime parts and finish.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
