    PAB, IAB and Eagle review

Hello, I have a couple of awards and a political eagle (I think) that I would appreciate some opinions. Also, I have difficulty valuating these badges as well so if anyone came share their opinion of value, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks,

No maker that I can see on the PAB.

The IAB...I have concerns on the head of the eagle...looks like the beak is gone? Has a maker mark...looks like Assmann?

Lastly, I believe this to be a political cap eagle but, I'm basing it on the head facing to the left and the short wings.

The PAB is a "Daisy" and the IAB is indeed an Assmann product.

      Hi Rucker

Actually your eagle looks like a zink version of the M36 BEAMTE/Government eagle worn by such organizations as Reichpost, Reich or Staats Forstebeamte, Zollbeamte etc. These exist in 2 colours (gold/silver), 3 different sizes and are usually RZM marked but have nothing to do with the NSAP even though they are regularly described and sold as such. There is also a short lived (introduced in 1936 & modified in 1937) version of a left facing M36 true NSDAP eagle but the design and proportions are very different as per attached pictures. You can get a fairly good idea of value from various dealer sites; the M36 Beamte (Admin) was in use from 36 'till the end of the war and exists in a variety of metals and made by many different makers which would influence value

      Hope this helps

      Regards

The 2 badges look ok. The cap eagle may be a fake.

            Hi Rucker,

The PAB and IAB are fine originals, just a bit worn with not much original silver finish remaining.

Not sure about the eagle, I suggest you post it in the Political sub-forum to get some better feedback on it.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
