    Hello

    please for help this Medal.

    Memorial Medal of the 4th Panzer Division, 3rd Company Panzer Reconnaissance Division 7,
    Backside EK motif "PROPOISZK 14.7.1941",
    Manufacturer "Deschler München" and 925 Mark / Stamp.

    The medal is probably a Bodenfund, since I know but only as silver plated zinc version, makes the something interesting since it is 925 silver, it is the zinc from Rare and sought, as is a silver piece Preislich to evaluate.

    All opinions are welcome.

          I have earlier Sieges Thaelers from the time of Wilhelm II and Ludwig II in .900 Silver. It wouldn't be uncommon for a silver coin to be made for veterans during the war but silver was dedicated to the war effort and not even really used in the manufacture of coins after 1940. I would think that the silver version would have to be bought by a well off officer, while most vets got the cheap zinc version. Great coin though.
