Marked 2nd models are exceedingly rare. I know of only 2.
Patrick is, of course, correct in that the entire catch and pin arrangement have been replaced on this badge. These and the 1st models suffered a high breakage rate due to the material and design.
The 3rd model (zinc) is fine.

I tend to agree.
The 1st one (aluminum) has had all its hardware replaced.
I suspect the 2nd one has had the hinge and pin replaced too, as it doesn't look exactly like an original Juncker setup to me. The catch is fine, but just the hinge and pin on the 2nd example.
TomIf it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a littleNew Book - The German Close Combat Clasp of World War II

I agree with Heinrich. I have some doubts about the zinc piece. It may be the flash pictures but the eagle looks like it could be a casting. I see a seam and what looks like less detail than would be expected. Coupled with the odd hinge and pin caution is in order.Looking for a 30 '06 Chauchat magazine.
