                        I respectfully disagree with the characterization of this GAB as a Schickle. I base my opinion on Frank Heukemes' book on GABs pages 72-73 where the Frank & Reif type 1.5.2 is shown. The badge at the top of this thread has straight sides of its hinge; no angled cuts. See also pages 144-145 of the Heukemes book. These pages differentiate the hardware of the Mayer-manufactured GAB from that of the Frank & Reif, based upon the hinge configuration.
                        That is the reference I consider the gold standard on GABs.
