    Numbered PAB

A veteran of WW2 has a large collection of badges. A smaller part of which he brought home from the war , the rest he bought over the years wherever. There are a number of obvious fakes I've weeded out but I'm not an expert on badges particularly the numbered ones . A few of them look questionable to me but a few look really good just like a few other vet bought ones I have . Comments would be most appreciated.

              Hi Nutmeg,

All fakes for me as well. Vet finds are notroriously fraught with fakes unfortunately...

If you can buy them for a few bucks cheaply they will make an acceptable display

As mentioned, all bad. Had they been good it would have been the proverbial pot of gold at the end of the rainbow.

Would have been cool to have these all original from one vet. No luck this time
                      Kind regards,

Thanks guys, most appreciated. He said some of the badges were ones he brought back but was truthful that he had been buying them long after the war. There were a few real low end badges but I don't have much experience with the numbered ones and wanted to be sure I didn't pass on a real one.

My God wouldn't it have been an amazing haul? Some decent enough placeholders there though.

Indeed, I dont want to save up for 12 months to but a real 75/100 tank assault badge but a decient repro for the right price would do just fine

That one at top right is a nice copy IMO.
