              Hi Nicolai,

Gorgeous addition my friend, lovely won condition.

Great-looking GAB, still looking for a nice one of these myself.

              Tom
If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Very nice tombac GAB Nicola: I love it!

I dont know if its a clue (as to the maker) or not but it seems to share the same rather unusual round stock catch with a flat spot as on a tombac IAB I have

                    Regards

                        Bonjour Nicola,

To be honest I'm not sure...When I bought the badge and first posted it here for opinions I was told the die/design was Schickle (dies & parts later aquired by Mayer) and the catch was more likely to be the type associated to Schickle. Mayer apparently used a stamped sheet metal catch on the same design badge when they started to produce badges themselves from the former Schickle dies? Since then I've seen IABs with both types of catches called either Schickle or Mayer or both (Schickle-Mayer) so I'm confused but, thats nothing out of the ordinary for me

Here is the IAB in question whatever it is...Hope it helps. No idea if anyone else used the same identical type of catch

                        Best regards

                        JC
