    Hello,


    I have a question regarding the awarding of the front flight clasp and its awarding points system.

    I have received today a neat glider flugbuch in wich there are points entered that counts towards the award of the front flight clasp !!! , can anyone explain these points ? , where they awarded for certain disctances, etc ...

    This person received the Front flight clasp in Bronze ( as a Glider pilot !!! )

    I know that flying time could give the pilot or the crew more points and counts as various flights, also if you were shootdown, I try to look where I have this info and put it here, but I suppose some of our LW collectors could explain it better.

      Let me be a little more specific , from howmuch km flewn distance did a flight count as one , two , etc ... operational flights counting towards the operational clasp ?

      I know that a person had to have 20 operational flights to earn the bronze clasp, etc ... but my question is in distance wise ( lets take the example of the African theater during middle 1942 , a crew did fly from Lecce ( Italy ) towards Bengasi ( Africa )=> that is 920 km distance flight , over sea, etc ... , the flight takes about 5 hours to reach the destination , does this flight gives a crew more then 1 operational flight ?, etc ... )

      Any help is appreciated .
