Good cross, but it looks more like silver than gold to me.

The cross is original war-time. But the gilt is questionable. Could be a 12-year silver with patina. Not a classic 25-year gilt appearance at all.

Looks a yellowed silver.
Anyway a hand inspection coul be a good solution, natural light in this case can do the difference.

For me is worn out silver. The yellow color might be from base ground
