Document is good - correct dates for Herrlein and good signature. Correct Infanterie stamp for him although not a crisp strike and very blurry swas.

The badge may be good but need to see a straight on shot with head and swas please.

badge is postwar Souval indicated by the square corners on the hinge plate

Agree with Patrick. I don't like the hardware.
          A postwar Souval IMO.

            Good eyes Patrick

You should post the document in the paper section. While the dates are correct for the signer you should check the paper and that stamp. I really think that's a weak stamp. And the paper is very dark but it could be the lighting.

            Thanks for posting!

I too think the badge itself is postwar. Not sure about the document, but as Nick says post it up in the document section for some better answers.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

The award document is likely good. Elements of Fla-Bataillon (mot) 608 fought with 60 ID (Motorized) and were ultimately destroyed at Stalingrad. It's unclear what happened to Wunsch - there are numerous Karl Wunsch listed in the VB database but none definitely show him as a KIA/MIA at Stalingrad. It's a mystery as to whether he transferred, was wounded before or during the battle, etc.
