How was the MAX show for TR badges?

fakes aplenty

More fakes than authentic badges and anything real was usually so overpriced you couldn't even make a descent offer without offending the seller.
Found a descent IAB and GAB for good price as well as a few Naval Submarine Badges and Luft Flak and Ground assault. Not worth the six hour drive and hotel expenses this year

I thought it was just fine this year. The usual sifting through the BS to find good stuff. But it was there.

Yes I did! One of them is a nice Cupal Assmann. The GAB is a killer Steel Assmann and one of those silver infantry assaults is a solid tombak Wurster.

There were plenty of badges both fake and authentic at this years MAX...
You could just go to a big dealer, tell them what you want and they'd have it and what ever condition you could afford.. OR ,,, you could spend time and search thru the 1000s of riker cases all over the place and find a real gem at a really great price..

This year's show was a medal show for me. I sold a lot of medals and HJ items more than daggers. It was a good buying show for Tom Johnson and myself. I was overall pleased.

Very good buying show for non badge / medal related items. Scored tons of boards, tabs, and enamels along with tons of buckles but other then that, alot of fakes when it came to badges and medals.

Picked up a load of items but only one badge. I wasn't really looking for badges but this salty cupal GAB was sitting behind a display case at a friends table.

It had a great look so I had to have it.

A very good show for me even with the exchange rate. First time I have attended the show as our moose hunt normally is the same time as the show. Didn't pick up any badges but I wasn't looking for any.
