Poor Man's CC Badge in Gold?

Does this look like it was once a gold CCC badge?

    Hi Tim,

Its possible, but not enough finish remaining to be sure of anything. As you know, Deschler used a very bright bronze finish so I think we would need to see more of the finish to determine gold versus bronze IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Ha, you are right Thorsten! Where is my head Thank you my friend.

I must have Deschler on the brain, I will show you guys why in a few days

Anyway, sorry for the mistake on this Hobacher. Thanks to Thorsten's correction, I think it could be an original gold based on what little finish remains. Hobachers are quite uncommon, but the bronze ones I know of have a very dark finish and quite different then what we see on this example. So I think it could stand a good chance of being gold, but with so little finish remaining, not very desirable IMO.
