Question on a CCC w/ lacquer on it.

I have a Silver CCC by FLL.
It has lacquer of some kind on it. A long time ago, someone told me how to get it off.
Was the method to put the badge in vinegar for 24 hours?
    I honestly can't remember.
It's a good badge. I just want to get the lacquer off.
    Thanx,
    Tim

Depends on what type of lacquer you have on it Tim, can you show us some pics?

Nail polish remover should do the trick for most lacquers, and its not super harsh. But be careful because some FLL finishes are susceptible to this so I would try it on a small spot on the reverse and see she does.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little
