    Close Combat Clasp for Review

Hi everyone, i picked up a small job lot of items over the weekend and with it was this worn condition Close Combat clasp in gold.
As i know these are difficult to find i'm not getting too excited but is it any good,i have seen this variant of catch on a GWL clasp and that's one of things that instantly made me doubt it as this is marked for Junker. Also the back plate has a gold wash on it and i thought they were all black or dark blue.
All thoughts are greatly appreciated......Many Thanks Rob

      Hi Rob,

Interesting clasp. Can we see a side shot of the catch?

Looks ground dug, what are the black areas on the reverse? You are right to suspect the gold finish because it appears to be on the backplate. That would be a big red flag to say its refinished IMO. But hard to be sure because of the weird condition this one. Some more detailed shots would be helpful here.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

        Hello,

based on the pics the clasp looks like modern re-finished. And as you self pointed out the catch is looking not common for Juncker and possible repaired.

But imo the clasp itself is original.

        Regards
        Joe

I'm Sorry. I have a doubt, IMO this is not Juncker hardware

For me an original Juncker clasp with repaired catch that someone completely refinished probably many years ago

Catch is not a discussion, it is simply bad, but the hinge is questionable and it is not what I want to see in the Juncker CCC
                      ps:
For comparison, the original Juncker hinge
