Indeed, textbook original 4-Rivet GAB. Finish is a bit faded as expected, and I think a little vaseline bath would certainly help clean up the little spots of zinkpest and help bring out any silver finish remaining. Either way a fine original of a relatively uncommon type of GAB.
What is that enameled disc next to it, never seen something like that before?

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Hi Tom, I spoke to Ron. It's brass, it must have been attached to something bigger but I can't decide what it's off. Obviously it was screwed or riveted to that "something". I've seen an item similar recently but for the life of me I can't remember where. Stewy
Thanks Ron, as I said it can't be Vet related. And I doubt it's a divisional thing. Wish I could remember where I saw the other brass enamelled ensignia that had two fixing points the same, but wasn't an ASA. Stewy
Thanks for the detailed pics Ron. Clearly someone created it based on a GAB badge and interesting that they took the time to enamel it too. Nice obscure piece, thanks for showing.
