2 CCC's in Bronze - JFS and Juncker

Hi guys!

Please let me know Your opinions on these 2 clasps.

First one is a "JFS", second one a "Juncker". Don't know what happend to the second clasp but the finish is "chipping" for some reasons on the left backside.

The back plate on the Juncker has been re-crimped.

Hi Peter,

I can only agree with Steve and Ralph, both fine originals. The Juncker's plate has been crimped as Ralph pointed out, but looks like its the original plate so that is great news. Just check it with a magnet to be sure, but looks correct. The peeling finish likely indicates a thin copper layer under the finish which is something Juncker is known to have done on a few of their combat badges. I don't specifically recall seeing that on their CCCs, but wouldn't surprise me at all since they are known to have done it on their IABs, PABs, GABs, etc.

Thanks for Your kind comments, Tom and Ralph! I noticed that the plate was recrimped, it's the (magnetic) original one IMO.

Hi Peter,

The plate on the Juncker should be non-magnetic. It was made from brass, and really the only producer that used non-magnetic plates on their CCCs.
