    Zimmerman/Juncker PAB Bronce - Question?

    Hi Everyone

I recently bought a Zimmerman/Juncker PAB Bronce from Kai Winkler and when I recieved it I noticed that the catch looked like it had been soldered/repaired to the catchplate. The description on Kai Winklers site don't say anything about that, so I wrote Kai and he replied that he didn't think that it had been repaired. Soo my question is what do you think repaired or not. I think it has been repaired because one can see solder wich sold not be visible because the finnish is aplied last, wich I also can see on other PAB's of this kind. I have not yet had the oportunity to take pictures of the item in question but if you would please look at the item 17274 (make a search for 17274 and it will appear) at https://www.nordheideversand.de/

I can't "grab" the pictures from Kai winklers site and load them here because he has some kind of protection on - that bastard By the way Kai offered me a refund so thats not an issue here!

    Cheers Thomas

    Hi Thomas,

Impossible to tell form these pics. It looks like the catchplate is situated a bit higher above the raised area than what I would expect to see,but that is what you would get if to much solder was applied underneath. To be abolutely sure I would need to see some good profile shots.

Sorry for the delay, heres better pics showing this lovely badge wich I think has been repaired at the catch and Kai Winkler thinks is original. Hope you can help!

              Hi Thomas,

IMO repaired. The finish is not that good either. In your place and for that sort of cash I would send it back and demand a refund. But thats just me.

I would also say repaired, Thomas. These badges were finished AFTER the catch was soldered onto the oblong plate, so it should be impossible to see grey coloured solder.
                  Cheers, Frank

What camera did you use to snap those pictures?
