          Peterpanneke,
Try showing it again on the Tony Barto SS Forum.
Maybe someone there will give you an answer!

It looks fine to me but you need to post in on the General Awards Forum for the best answers from Antonio and the guys.

First I would post in the SS section for verification of the originality of the SS LS 8 medal itself.

As for the medal bar, the construction looks ok. The only issue I see is that the SS medal appears lower in mount than the HC Cross. They should be level on the bottom.

The problem with these SS bars is that one can take a relatively inexpensive bar with an RAD LS4, a Heer/Luft LS4 or Police LS and exchange it for a SS LS and you have a very desirable and rare medal bar.

I have only seen perhaps 1 few SS bars that were original in all pf my collecting years.

Akthough Gary is absolutely right with his explanations, I don't see any red flags from the pictures You posted.

                    Best regards, Peter

Correct forum for SS medals is, as Ian poibted out, the General WH Awards forum, and it is tge same for medal bars.
Medal is definitely an original type 2 and the bar construction looks good to my eyes but I suspect someone replaced a common medal with a SS one.
Anyway it is hard to understand because it is an easy work to do. The buyer IMO should pay this bar just for the market value of the single medals, not for a SS medal bar.
                      Just my 2 cents.
