AWS 1942 PAB in Silver.

A few days ago I enjoyed a thread where some wonderful AWS 1942 PABs in bronze were shown. Let's see what turns up for the silver version. Mine is not in the best condition but it is what it is...
I am looking forward to some wonderful examples.

i agree with Philippe....the only example i have held in my hands in the last 6 years or so is the one shown on my site....good score Bob....got to love the handwork on those track pins

You don't really think this was handwork.

However as far as I'm concerned it's the most bizar difference I have ever seen between two grades of the same badge by the same maker.

These detailed track pins I only ever saw on the silver grade. Since I have only seen less then a handfull I can't be sure that every silver example will show this feature but on the other hand from the dozen or so original Bronze ones I have seen non featured this detailing. Bizar to say the least.

on my example it is very obvious that this was done after the finish was applied...on Bob's example it looks to be the same way...i think it was just an additional touch they did to these silver badges for whatever reason...perhaps a bit of contrast?....

but yes thats what i think it is...a bit of flourish at the end of the production.
