How much is this bright gold APB badge worth?

It has nearly 100% of its original gold finish.

      APB in bright gold

I saw these at a show I was at over the weekend. I believe the seller was asking 10k for the gold and if this is the same set 8k for the other gold.

I told him he was too low on the bright gold one. I think he can get a lot more as I have never seen one nicer.

BTW these will be for sale at the MAX show.

Sorry there is little interest in this thread.

IMO 10k for any gold APB is a lunatic price

                10k for a zinc badge...

This will eventually be a washed out gray badge one day.

If I was convinced that the gold finish was periode made and had 10 K I would gladly add it to my collection. From these pics it looks like the needle has been finished in gold also, which makes me question when it was finished?

                  Cheers Thomas

                    Hi Thomas.

Do you think this is the same badge as you showed me in Kassel a few years ago?

I remember that you had been offered it but couldn't quite convince yourself that the gold was period and decided to pass.

How hard would it be for a good model builder, to refinish a badge like this ? (with washed away finish with zink exposed, to gold)

There is your answer, to how legit this badge is

Totally agree here, the finish on the hinge pin is very dubious.
Mankind achieved greater things than refinishing a badge in gold.

Not so strange to see a pin with finish on BKAs.
Anyway these pictures are not enough to understand if the finish is period or not, but IMO 10K are too much.

That is if you don't know how the original finish looks like...yes

Good remark by Thomas, I would also want to see a black pin on there, the gold pin is a major red flag!
                              Kind regards,
