      A yet unknown maker (1.29.1)
      The catch is not original IMO, better pictures would be helpfull.

        Yes the catch is repaired. It's part of a group I am buying to the same soldiers, I just hadn't seen this type of GAB before.

            Alexander's spot on. Known as the Half moon ASA, due to it's hinge plate. Not an ASA you see every day in any condition. This has had it's catch repaired. Still nice to display. Stewy

              refinished?

              Maybe just the photos but looks to be refinished to me. Thick coat?

                  Sometimes they can be found with their copper pre-finish showing through. Which suggests electrolysis was used, just my opinion though. Stewy

                    These are known to hold their finish well.
                    Sometimes they have a coppercoating under the finishlayer.
                    These are quality produced badges.
