    Hi Nordewin,

Nice texbook "chaotic grass" Wurster. Why did they make so many of these Bronze grades and are the silver grades rarer then snow in the Sahara

      Hi Philippe

Is that real? Siliver Wurster PAB is a rare PAB. I think I must be lucky because I got a siliver wurster (KWM) PAB.

      best regards

You have a hollow silver Wurster? I'd love to see pics.

How many different grass patterns are associated with this maker? Thanks for your help.

            sorry Don

I misunderstood... it is a siliver zinc wurster PAB

            best regards

              Good question Bob,

Untill Tom posted his massive buntmetall Wurster in this thread, I was quite happy distinguishing between two clearly different patterns on the early hollow badges

              http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...+grass+compare

Toms badge seems to feature a third pattern and then of course there is the grass pattern on the zinkers that is also slightly different. Most likely differnt dies were used which shouldn't come as a surprise taken in to account how many of these Wursters are still arround.

Here is a compare between the two grass patterns, chaotic one on top and the more organized below.

                Dear Philippe,

There are small differences in the leaves as well, check out the middle veins in the right leaf e.g.
                Cheers, Frank

Thanks for pointing that out Frank. Never noticed it but very obvious indeed. So only more fuel to support a multiple die theory I guess.
