    IAB W.H., Original?

My father recently got this IAB at a local auction and I was hoping I could get a 2nd opinion on whether it's original or not. Thanks

      Hello,

As said by Stewy, a bad fake. Nothing good in the catch, the hinge, the maker mark...

      Gorg.

I can only agree with the others, a common fake unfortunately. Nicely made, especially from the obverse but a complete mess in the back. Tom's is a very nice original in comparison.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Nicely made in the sense that the detail is very good. If this one was sitting on a dealers table I would certainly pick it up thinking it was a good Zimmermann, only to put it back down once I viewed the reverse.
