    Hi Matt

    Welcome to the forum.

This is indeed a so called "pillow crimp" IAB. It looks good from these poor pictures, but you'd better post some extra ones since there are some real good fakes out there.
    Kind regards,
    Giel

      Hi Matt,

      Welcome to the forum

As Giel says, this one looks like a fine original Pillow Crimp IAB. I am quite certain it is a good one, but as Giel says the fakes are very good so if the seller will not send you better pics then its worth a chance if the price is right and he has a good return policy. And when you get it in hand, take some good scans and post the new pics to be sure there are no issues with it.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thank you Giel and Tom! I'm pretty certain it's good as well.
Do you happen to know the maker of this badge by chance?

The maker isn't known yet unfortunately. There are some wound badges with the same pillow crimp hardware setup that are marked with L/18 for BH Mayer so that is possibly a lead, but not conclusive at this point.

              Hi Matt

              Yes, maker unknown.

Definitely need better pics, even if it does appear original. You want to see the quality and condition of the finish before buying. Blurred, dark pics can hide an awful lot.

              best regards
              Graeme
