              Hi Antonio,

I can only agree with Stewy and Ralph, Schickle is thought to be the maker of these.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Just like the others say this is a Schickle.

Here is mine to compared with.

                All the best

                  Hi Robert,

That is a gorgeous Schickler in great shape. It looks like an earlier nickel silver or brass example compared to Antonio's zinc variant, is that correct?

                  Thanks

Roberts example looks like an early buntmetal example to me. Nice. Stewy

Both are nice examples with the precise manufacturer still open for debate.

As stated, the base material is different with the first being zinc and the second being buntmetal as Stewy mentioned.

Also, when comparing the obverse design of these two, the wreath leaf pattern is different as well.

                      Best Regards, fischer

                        Hi

......Fischer's assessment is, at this time, undeniably the correct call.
