    GAB - which maker?

Got this badge at this years SOS.
I liked it, but I'm not sure of the maker.

            Hi Jan,

A fine original by RK. We aren't exactly sure who the maker is behind the initials RK, but possibly Rudolf Kareth or Robert Kreisel are two very good candidates. Whoever they were, its very likely they were located in Gablonz based on the reverse hardware.

These RKs are quite common to find, and yours is in decent condition but with an old repair to the hinge.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Tom's spot on. The only thing I can add is that it is the rounded ball hinge, rather than the flattened top ball hinge variant. Which came first I'm unsure. Stewy
