    PAB FLL 43 for review

I don't know much about these but I think this one is ok. Could I get a second opinion though please?

    Thanks!

It should not have that round catch plate, that would be a red flag for me.

Just found another which confirms it's fake, a very good fake unfortunately!

            Hi Ben,

I can only agree with my colleagues, a well known fake unfortunately. These are well made and out of England I believe.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

              Hi Ralph,

I agree that the badge posted at the start of this thread is a fake. But I believe there are original FLL PABs that do have a large, round catch plate.

              Best regards,
              Tom

.... Like this one, for instance.

                Best regards,

A large, round catch plate can be found on some original FLLs, so it does not necessarily mean fake in and of itself.

                      Thanks for posting those Tom.
I had not seen one of those before. The original one posted also lacks the raised guides for the hinge plate.

The easiest way to recognise this fake is the shape of the highlighted area in the following pic. Compare it to an original and you will see the difference.

                        regards
