Well somehow I knew you hardcore PAB collectors would have a week spot for this badge
Dan sadly this find didn't bring me any closer to my goal, not only did we recently discover the narrow "w" wurster to add to the ever growing list of variants but just yesterday I discovered yet another variant that I never saw before. It was a hollow, zinc first pattern (hanging gun) Daisy. Untill yesterday I was sure that badge only existed as buntmetall and semi-hollow variant. So two more to add
These Hollow AS's are indeed something special in PAB collectors land.
The typical AS, AS in triangle and RK design in combination with that smoothend hollow reverse makes them kind of unique. Also the set-up is beyond compare, very fragile but at the same time complex and very well executed. For sure a PAB that must have been quite expensive to manufacture which could explain why so few of them are arround.
