    Bronze PAB's 25 and above???

I've seen plenty of photos and documents of numbered PAB's in silver, however it seems that numbered PAB's in Bronze are harder to find. Horst Hain, I believe, was awarded numbered bronze PAB's, possibly 75, and I think Fritz Fessmann was awarded a 50. I was wondering if anyone can post pictures of Bronze numbered PAB's being worn or pictures of award documents of numbered Bronze PAB's. They seem rare, and I wonder how many soldiers actually won Bronze 50's and 75's.

    Hi Klaus

Indeed a very fair question and a real fact when you look at the numbers that turn up. Even when you see bronze numbered assault badges, the most of them seem to be mint out of stock, 95% by JFS. A worn down bronze number assault badge is a true rarity!

I can only imagine that people who qualified for the bronze PAB's were much more vulnerable and never even reach that many combat days when going into combat before they got KIA.
    Kind regards,
    Giel

I had a friend who was awarded the 25 in bronce at the end of the war.
Not many Panzergrenadiere lived to qualify for the 25, and of course even fewer the 50, 75 or 100.

It makes sense. Fessmann who I believe won the bronze 50 as the head of a recon battalion was killed. Also in the picture is Hain wearing a Bronze 50 or 75, I can't really tell? If it is a 75 then he's the only one I know of?
