    Extraordinary Relics

    Greetings,
Once again, a European dealer working with a metal detector at an old Wehrmacht base near the Polish Latvian border has found some extraordinary relics. What should I offer?
    Regards,

Both look like a bogus (allthought I haven't seen an original balloon observer ).

Catch on both of those badges look like the one in todays repros.

However much you feel like losing. You need to stay away from these eastern "finds."

I suppose he found these a week after his friend buried them there.

                Stay away.

Both look very good for being grounddug items, not ..?

Both are fake ,that's probably why they look brandnew..
Putting stuff in the ground and "finding" them 1 hour later doesn't work ,they need to be 60 years in the ground and original in the first place..

I guess the dealer didn't know all that..?

Good call, Peter. I had forgotton about his EK1. Hope springs eternal, I guess. I had thought maybe there was a chance for the Ballon badge, although the LW Badge has that watery quality of yet another recently identified fake. If I could I would rename the thread I would, but I don't seem to be able to edit the title. Thank you for your opinions!

I had exactly the same type of balloon badge a couple of years ago . I bought it as a fake for £5 , gave it to a mate .

Offer him a swift kick in the Azz!

Then tell him he's a schwein and a liar.
