The printing on the packet front looks a little shaky. The JFS stamp on the reverse looks like it's leaning to one side & the bottom flap doesn't have the angled edges that i thought JFS packets have. Stewy

Indeed very suspicious. The bad is definitely a fake IMO. The badge also looked a little suspicious with that weird catch, so without seeing any better closeups of it, I would say that was fake as well. Its possible its a repaired original, but would need better pics of it to be sure.

Hi Tom,

do you know any IABs in Vienna design with the missing leaf? As far as I know they a re all fakes. That's why I'm 100% sure that it is a fake. Especially because you find this type of IAB on Mil321 sold as a fake from time to time.
I'm also convinced, that the IAB bag is a fake, because I've never seen an original bag for a silver JFA IAB. All of them I've already seen were fakes.

I can't recall that right off hand and I don't have my files with me. I am sure you are right and now looking at that IAB again closer, it does look a bit like the vienna design. When I looked quick earlier it looked like the JFS design due to the angle and ofcourse that round hinge looked correct for a JFS IAB. But even so, the details are pretty weak on the obverse and you are probably right that its bad to the bone, just like the packet.

Hi Don,

no, it's really the same type of IAB with the round hinge you can find in the last time at Mil321. Furthermore I got already two times a WhatsApp message with exactly that type. Maybe it's a new fakre, which we will see much more often in the next time.
