      Hi nutmeg,

The quality looks pretty poor (obverse of the eagle for a start, soft edges, etc) so I'd suggest it's a repro casting.

Interesting use of the Aurich logo though - I've only seen the combined name & logo on tinnies before.

      Regards

Evaluate the item, not the story and not the seller's reputation!

If you PM/contact me without the courtesy of using your first name, please don't be offended if I politely ignore you!

        Hi nutmeg,

I agree with Mike, this is definately not a good one for the points he raised.

        best wishes,

All the details are to soft and the setup is not reminiscent of anything Aurich used . MM is a nice touch though, I wonder if they stole that from a tinnie or trade competition badge.

Sorry but this one is a fake
Details are missing, just take a look on the shields along side the boat.

OOPs, I´ve had second thoughts. I think its the really rare private purchase Osang Aux. cruiser that was only awarded a couple of times!!

Only Joking. Thats one way of stopping some dealer giving that kind of story to a potential buyer in the future

Nice kill nutmeg, how did you break it? By hand or with any kind of tool?

Just curious, was that a "5" on the pin?

Broke it by hand, and it was a five on the pin. It's dead now and will never hurt anyone again. Unless of course you were all wrong , then you'll have to live with this for the rest of your lives!

                        I am in total agreement......

......with your method of removing such an obnoxious badge from the collecting world. My hat is off to you for joining the ranks of us that feel there is no better end to FAKES than destruction......however it is accomplished.

Now just make sure that you throw it somewhere where it won't be dug up in a few years and sold as a relic.

Hey, uhhh if anyone has any more fakes they are going to kill, I'll be happy to give them a home. I'd love to have a big display of known fakes. I'll even pay for postage

Anyone still have the link to that contest that was held on here a few months ago?
