    Bronze APB

    Dear all,

This is my latest acquisition that I am quite proud of. An AGMuK 2-cut-outs-style Anti Partisan Badge in bronze with a good and intact finish.
I showed bad black/white pics of this one before now I have finally got it!

    Cheers, Frank H.

              Very nice Frank.

I have posted pics of an APB badge of mine on the other APB thread, and would value your opinion.

              Again, great looking piece.

              Regards,

              Tim

Thanks, I looked for a long time for an APB that is original, not overpriced and in a good condition. And guess what, I found it in a Munich coin shop! Of course the dealer knew what he had and it was not unexpensive but reasonable, let´s say Detlev kind of pricing.

Skip, here are more shots of the hinge.

                  Cheers, Frank H.

Btw, I just saw that the first hinge shot might give the impression that the barrel is "edgy", it is NOT , it is round.

                      Cheers, Frank H.

                          Frank, I have to ask...

Is the top near the hinge broken and repaired?

                            Dear Ralph,

Neither nor. The zinc is thinner there in that area and came out a bit inaccurately formed upon leaving the die, it is not so much visible from the obverse. Also note a small hairline crack on the reverse in the 4 o´clock position.

                            Cheers, Frank H.

                              Sorry Frank

My apologies. This just looked odd to me (arrow). I have my eye on one of these myself. If the pics come back looking as good as yours, and the price is right, I may take it.

                              Best, Ralph
