    Luft Clasp

I don't like the clasp either. It is not like any of the ones I have gotten out of the woodwork from veterans.

I've only just seen this again, Ivan my friend...I thought the outer covering was that of the fake boxes ?

I know you're good on these, what are your thoughts......I could be wrong

(I'll speak to via pm soon )

I sent the clasp and case to Jos le Conté and he believes both are repros.

            Cheers,
            Erich

I've checked the case and the inlay is made of modern multiple layer wood..
The blue paper that covers the case is the same as known fakes.

Also, when the clasp is inside ,the lid is on tension and a gap appears between both parts of the case..

For me this case is a repro.

              Jos.

I would too, vouch it is fake as earlier said by myself.....indeed the common frequented fake outer covering to the Luft boxes.

                    Jos and Erich,

lid is in cartoon or wood ?
don't come out the lid to show inside?
                    botton is in brass?

                      Ivan,

The inlay is made of a piece of white wood, the multiple layer "triplex"..
It's used in many modern fake cases.
                      No cardboard,carton whatever..
I've compared the case to many cases Francois Saez has and it doesn't match any.
When closed with the badge in there's too much tension on the lid.
The silk in the lid is nothing but silk with nothing between etc.
Maybe it looks convincing, but with all those errors I can't believe it is.

                      Jos.
