    Hi Bucky,

Unbelievably rare badge you have there! I don't think I have ever seen an FLL made from tombak, the few hollows I have encountered all seem to be zinkers. Some do have a copper coating on top of the zinc, but as far as I can tell with your badge, it appears to be a true tombak-based FLL PAB. I don't see any sign of grey zinc popping out from underneath the copper layer and there are some nicely worn spots, so I have to conclude its a true tombak example. What a great badge.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Holy crap! I missed this one. What a great PAB. I've never encountered a Tombak FLL, only zincers. This looks to be a true Tombak to me as well. What a find! Congrats!

            Hi duys

......I don't understand the following statement:
I don't see any sign of grey zinc popping out from underneath the copper layer
If I'm not mistaken Tombac is an alloy. See the following link:

              Bruce:

Grey zinc popping through the copper layer would mean it was a zinc badge.

Since we see no evidence of this, then I am suggesting its a true tombak badge and not just a copper-coated zinc badge.
