Three German badges given to me. Anything real?

These three badges were given to me some time ago and I never got around to checking them out. Is anything real?
The Iron Cross is starting to come apart and there is a big flaw along the left side of the bottom arm. The GAB looks like the eagle is wearing a hat. I appreciate any input.

The PAB looks like an unmarked Frank & Reif to me.

The EK1 is genuine - really? - with that hardware and poorly trimmed obverse frame?

I just saw one similar to this marked 20 and a shinkle also at the Allentown PA gunshow.Red flag to me. TPK

Both the combat badges look good to me. I can't say the same for the cross.

Thank you everyone for the fast reply; I guess two out of three isn’t bad and the price was right. Bill

the cross looks horrid IMO.. I would be very surprised to find out it was real.

the other two are good originals... granted they've seen better days, but originals nonetheless.

No I think the cross is a bad one and the other one I saw at a recent local show also had bad triming but all the hardware on that one was Zimmerman which is not a known shinkel maker. TPK

                    Hi Bill

I agree with Dale that the PAB is classed as an unmarked F&R. Very nice condition obverse, just a shame about the missing catch.

The GAB looks good too, and in my opinion this variant (with that strange hinge) is not easy to find. These usually have a crimped in catch but your pics do not confirm that. Do you have a better angled shot of the catch please?

                    best regards
                    Graeme

                      Hi Bill,

I can only agree with the others, both combat badges are originals. The PAB is indeed an unmarked Frank & Reif. The GAB is an unmarked Meybauer/Wernstein and has the less-commonly encountered crimped-in ball hinge.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks everyone for the additional information and thank you Tom for the great photo; that badge looks like a beauty. I am posting photos, at a different angle, to show the hinge and crimp on the GAB.
