Finnish Volunteer Cross - Authentic or Fake?

I have a chance to purchase this item and know originals are extremely hard to find. I'd like to get some feedback from the membership on whether or not this piece is a good one. I've seen so few that i have concerns about the numbering style and eagle on the front. I know there were a few different strikings of this medal and so wanted to get some feedback.

      Compare with this one:

Early crosses were a bit thinner than the later.

        Hello Ludwig

Thanks for the feedback. I very much appreciate it and looking at yours its seems to be nearly identical especially in regards to the base metal underneath the black paint. I've seen several different engraving styles on these and suspect there were very few numbered at a time and engraving was done in all different manners.

        Cheers
        Chris

Yes, these crosses were produced in a rather small number, and I guess, even less handed out. They were handed out on several occasions, so the style of the engravings may differ.
