    Gold r.s. Ccc

    Dear all

I do believe this looks like a gold one, but the backplate is original attachment?
the gap between the lower edge and the plate looks a bit bigger than any example I have ever seen , opinions are welcome here!

    thanks

            Please post better photos!
            Looks like a good clasp.
I have had all grades of CCC made by R.S. and the bronce I had was much more dark chocolate brown.

              Dear Ludwig
here is the link to the CCC from Baldes website.
the picture they gave, sometimes not really in high definition.
let me know your thought, cheers

                Hi Eric,

Bronze grade for me as well. You can see it clearly on the reverse hardware setup that its bronze grade. We see this phenomenon sometimes with zinc clasps and the type of bronze finish used that it will start to gain a gold tone over the years, usually on clasps in bad storage conditions (i.e. ground dug or high moisture storage). You can see large areas where the finish is worn off and looks like a good candidate for bad storage conditions IMO.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

                    Bronze grade for sure.

Here's a faded gold grade RS where you can easily compare the brightness with.
