So, i love the detail of this badge and the finish looks great. Ive not seen this style pin at the top. Im used to the longer shallower style from this maker.
Did this maker make two types or hinges?

Sorry Dante, but Stewy is right, this is an old and common fake that has fooled quite a number of collectors in the past. Nicely detailed and made from good metals, but nothing more than a well made fake.

If you search Herman Aurich "ball hinge" almost anywhere. It will flag up this fake. I did hear once that they originated from the UK, but I'm most likely wrong. Stewy

If fakes could be called classic, this would be one. Very good quality as Tom mentioned. Commonly found.
