Broken stem, Deshler and Deumer IAB's

    Hi everyone,

i'd like to share with you some of my recent IAB additions, hope you enjoy!

A while ago i was able to purchase a nice bronze piece attributed to Rettenmaier which regular readers might recognize from Giel's LDO shop find (thanks again Giel!).

    Hello Olivier

Congrats on your recent acquisitions, all are very nice examples.!

Your Deschler Design has a great look and the Vertical Crimp is stunning!

The factory fresh Broken Stem still has a brilliant bronze color.
You might consider applying a very light coating of vaseline where moisture has discolored the finish.

    Great additions...

    Best Regards, fischer

        Hi Olivier,

All 3 very nice originals in great shape, especially the Deschler and Deumer

For the bronze Rettenmaier, I would suggest putting some vaseline on it for about an hour, then wiping it down. Will help protect from further zinc pest and really bring out the bronze finish.

If it doesn't have a hinge and catch, I'm not interested......well, maybe a little

Thanks for your comments and tips guys, glad to hear you enjoyed them!
Would any type of vaseline do (think i've heard somewhere a certain type isn't good for metal) and would this process also remove the reddisch patina in some places?
