    Hi guys,
    I got this badge recently. Personally I like it. Nice 1.17.3 massive zinc badge with sheet metal hinge. Only my concern is a needle.
    Personally, I never saw this type of needles (with "threads") on badges, only on stick pins. But I try to compare with my another 1.17.2 badge and see the similarity. Both ends are cut straight, not sharped. Needle form is identical, needle marks on the badge bodies are in the same place. Needle in question is magnetic. Strange......
    Is somebody saw this kind of needle on another badges or it's just a replacement.

              Hi Andrei,

              Nice badge and IMO the pin is not a replacement. The spiraling on the pin was probably caused as the wire was formed or fed into a pin bender.

                        A nice example. As mentioned, this appears from time to time, and in my opinion is a nice feature. It gives added character.
