              Dear Lynton,

While Philippe´s remark is not incorrect per se, in my opinion details in the hinge base might rather point towards BH Mayer as the maker. Frank & Reif and BH Mayer hollow GABs are virtually identical, save for some minute details.
There is only one early BH Mayer variant which leaves no doubts. It has a L/18 mark and filled in spaces under the swastika. However, BH Mayer also produced an unmarked series of hollow GABs and these are very much the same as the Frank & Reif examples.
              Cheers, Frank

                Sorry Frank...

I seemed to have missed your reply! Thanks for the comments!!
So,in your Opinion would this one be a Frank and Reif or a BH Mayer?
                Thanks and regards,Lynton.

                  Dear Lynton,

I think I can see the hinge cut in a 45° angle just before it meets the badge itself. This only appears on BH Mayer badges, the Frank & Reif badges have straight hinges. This can be verified by looking at MARKED L/18 badge´s hinges (also on IABs).
                  Cheers, Frank
