    SS Goblet

Not mine but posting for a friend. I forgot the exact measurements but it's at least a foot tall, 15 inches maximum. I can't find anything like it so I would say it's a fake or fantasy piece myself. These are the only markings and engravings on it. The box is wood.

The last photo shows the only hallmark. An Austrian Dianakopf cartouche for 800 silver, that dates it to between 1872 and 1922. Unfortunately, I can't read the city of assay letter that is inside the mark.

Much too much engraving on this for it to be real. Orignal items have the bare minimum and nothing else. Shocking really.

Below is a real gobet/throphy. Note the difference.

They put the rank of the recipient but put plain old 'Sepp Dietrich' instead of his full rank and proper name.

There is an even louder version out there behind the scenes, its the Spinal Tap commemorative and the volume go's to 11. SS = Plain Jane as stated. The other one is a Dietrich example as well

That other version you refer to was in the famous Derek Smalls collection. But, I think it was confiscated while he was trying to sneak it through airport security.

Speaking of Hitler silver... what do you think about this larger tray, said to come from the estate of the "Aviso Grille" yacht?

It was recently auctioned at Ratisbon's:
